St. Luke’s organ is turning 100 years (!) in 2025 and its old age is finally catching up with the instrument. Jason Barnsley, organ tuner and organ repair specialist, recently completed some much needed repairs to the organ to help restore its amazing sound.

Last week, our 1925 Casavant's cracked oboe chest and the impacted Sesquialtera rank were repaired. Thanks to Jason Barnsley, Matthew Robertson and Neil Cardew-Fanning who spent three days last week getting the organ repaired and tuned!

Thanks also to Susanne Reul-Zastre for the pictures of Matthew Robertson inside the organ chamber, Jason Barnsley working on the stop action with new gaskets (white), and the primaries for the stop action.

We look forward to the Organ Fundraising Concert, "Crowd Pleasers Only" on Saturday, September 7th at 2:30 pm when we will hear the restored organ in all its glory. Download the poster below or go to the news page about the concert for more information.
