The purpose of the Safe Church Program is to ensure that parishes are places of safety and wholeness for those who come seeking the love of Christ, and that all volunteers and employees are aware of their own personal safety and are equipped to manage their own personal risk.
Requirements: The Diocese of BC requires all volunteers and employees to obtain a Criminal Record Check and complete the Praesidium Safe Church Modules. Once these requirements are completed, they are valid for five years.
