The December newsletter from the Shelbourne Community Kitchen included this update: “The final tally is in! Our Donate and Double Your Impact Campaign raised a massive $130,034 in support of healthy food!!! Our team is - quite frankly- in shock. We are deeply humbled by the overwhelming support we've received this season.

Our fundraising success enabled us to:

  • Reduce the waitlist for the Voucher Program by creating an additional 75 registration spots;
  • Increase our monthly food budget to begin offering more protein and dairy;
  • Serve the growing number of new registrants and members accessing the Grocery Program;
  • Offer a $20 holiday grocery gift card to all of our participants in December!

This is just the beginning of the positive impact that the Donate and Double Your Impact Campaign and benefit concert proceeds will have for the people we serve at the Shelbourne Community Kitchen.

We want to send our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to our anonymous matching donor who challenged us to raise $50,000 this fall, and then extended their matching offer for our benefit concerts! Their dedication to our work and the people we serve is truly inspiring and we cannot thank them enough.

To all of our generous donors, we are forever thankful for your support. Thank you as well to everyone who helped to make our recent benefit concerts so much fun. Between the Kitchen Party with The Midnights on November 27th, and the two Making Spirits Bright concerts with Edie DaPonte, Stephanie Greaves, Darcy Philips and the Bob Watts Trio on December 11th, we raised a whopping $23,000 through our concert series alone.

Together we knocked our fundraising goal out of the park! Go team, go!”
