St. Luke’s has chosen February and March as months when we will provide extra support to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen, following on the talks at the beginning of February by Clarice Dillman, Shelbourne Community Kitchen Board Chair, and Kim Cummins, Program Director. Please see list below of the Kitchen’s most needed pantry items. Items can be brought to the church on Sunday. We are also asking that everyone bring a food item for the Kitchen to our Annual Vestry Meeting on February 23rd.

Monetary support is also greatly appreciated. To make a tax receiptable donation, please note on your cheque payable to St. Luke’s or your envelope that your donation is for the Shelbourne Community Kitchen.

Shelbourne Community Kitchen’s Most Needed Items – The Pantry at the Kitchen is a food distribution program for individuals and families who are living on a low income, and do not have reliable access to sufficient, nutritious food.

Items currently needed are: nut butters and jams; sauces, including pasta sauce and salad dressings; canned meat and fish; and healthy packable lunch foods such as granola bars, fruit cups or natural foods. Items can be left in the Shelbourne Community Kitchen basket at the back of the church.
