Every summer, the Shelbourne Community Kitchen sees an increase in families accessing their food support services, but this is also a time when supplies of non-perishable food donations are at an all time low.

As food costs continue to climb and as more people are seeking food support services The Kitchen is registering an average of 50 new participants every month. As we celebrate the end of the school year and all the fun adventures that await us this summer, let's work together to keep healthy food accessible for low income families and individuals in our community.

The Kitchen's most needed items:

• Dried and Canned Beans (Chickpeas, Kidney Beans, Black Beans, Lentils, Baked Beans, etc...)

• Instant Meals (Soup, Kraft Dinner, Chili, Ramen Noodles, etc...)

• Canned Fruit or Vegetables (Pineapple Chunks, Corn, Peaches, Diced Tomatoes, Mandarin Oranges, etc...)

• Condiments and Sauces (Pasta Sauce, Peanut Butter, Coconut Milk, Apple Cider Vinegar, etc...)

• Canned Meat and Fish (Tuna, Salmon, Ham, Chicken.)

Please continue to put these needed items in the basket in the church or the basket beside the office and we’ll deliver them to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen.
