After a short service in the church to honour our saints for All Saints Day, we moved outside to the cemetery.

The rain held off and we were blessed with a relatively warm day as we held the outside part of our Service of Remembrance on November 5th to honour the 161 veterans resting or commemorated in St. Luke's cemetery. A remembrance pot with rosemary, a Canadian flag, and a poppy cross was placed on each of the veterans' graves.

Thank you to Tuf Turf for providing the sand for the remembrance pots. Thanks to Noreen Saville and Pepper Gaudio for providing the rosemary, and to Rick and Noreen Saville for filling the remembrance pots with sand. and setting them up in the cemetery ready to distribute. Youth and adults at our Fantastic Friday on November 3rd added rosemary, a Canadian flag, and a poppy cross to the pots. See pictures HERE of the pots being assembled at Fantastic Friday.

The names of the 161 veterans were read during the service in the cemetery. See the service bulletin, the veterans' name booklet, and the updated Veterans' List below.

A video of the Service of Remembrance is available to view below.
