Please consider if you are able to make a monetary donation to the Kitchen at this time, by sending a cheque directly to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen (3541 Shelbourne St., Victoria, BC V8P 4G6) or donating online via the Canada Helps link at the Kitchen’s website. Or you can write a cheque to St. Luke’s or put cash in your envelope and note on your envelope that your donation is for the Shelbourne Community Kitchen.
In other years after Thanksgiving, we would donate the vegetables and fruit collected to decorate the church to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen. However, this year is different because of COVID and because the Kitchen will be moving this fall. So what they really need at this time is monetary donations.
We will collect the monetary donations for the Kitchen received to the end of October and will send a cheque to the Kitchen then.
