*Please stay for Coffee Time this Sunday after the 10 am service – Park on Synod Road for easy access via the side door of the hall. Today, April 28th, there will be a special “Farewell” Coffee Time for Olivia Craster who’s moving at the end of this month.

*Fantastic Friday will be this Friday, May 3rd from 4:30 to 6:30 pm in St. Luke’s Hall – This Fantastic Friday will be a woodworking Fantastic Friday. Invite your friends, neighbours, children, and grandchildren to join in the fun and find out why these Fridays are fantastic! For more information or to offer to help (always greatly appreciated!), please talk to Tara Poilievre, Barb Prescott, or Sharon Hallsor.

**Save the Date for our first Cemetery Cleanup this spring, which will be on Saturday, May 11th from 9 to 11:30 am. Many hands make light work!

**Our Next Reflections, our Sunday afternoon/evening service, will be on Sunday, May 12th at 7:00 pm – Note the later time for May and June. The May Reflections will feature the music of Taize and will include a variety of musicians. The readings, prayers, and music of this special Reflection Time will calm your spirit and soothe your soul.

**Registration Will Open May 1st for This Year’s Amazing Journey Day Camp, which will be held in the mornings, July 22nd to July 26th. Children born January 1, 2013 to June 30, 2020 are eligible to be campers. The Registration Form will be available at the News page of St. Luke’s website. Early Bird Registration fees available until June 15th are $45 for the first child, $40 for the 2nd child, and $35 for the 3rd child. St. Luke's joins with Church of the Cross each summer for a week-long day camp hosted at one of the churches. This year's camp will be held at Church of the Cross and the theme will be “Mending God’s World.” We will also be looking for Middle School students to be Leaders in Training and High School students to be Small Group Leaders.

**Level Ground Fundraiser Update – We received a payment this month in the amount of $71.18, bringing our total to date to $360.25. For more information, visit the Fundraising page of St. Luke’s website or talk to Barb Prescott.

Thank You from Brenda – “All fabric donations were very gratefully received, but for now, I have enough to keep me quite busy.” So please no more fabric donations at this time.

Some Work Completed Recently in the Cemetery – For a number of years, we have wanted steps by the shed to provide easier access to the graves in the upper terrace area (Rows M and N). Finally, we now have two steps in that area. Christopher Barclay also repaired the dry stone wall on the north end of the cemetery that was bulging, and the broken concrete caps on several other walls. If you would like to make a donation towards the cost of repairing the dry stone wall, creating the stairs, and other miscellaneous repairs in the cemetery (totalling just over $5,000), St. Luke's would be most grateful. Please make your tax receiptable donation by putting cash or a cheque (payable to St. Luke’s Church) in your envelope and noting on the envelope that the donation is for the cemetery. Another option is to visit the Donations for the Upkeep of St. Luke's Cemetery page to find out how to make a tax receiptable donation using a credit card or by e-transfer.

A Note From Genessa Poilievre – I need your help. I am taking part in 3 big adventures this year which require fundraising to cover the cost. I am going on an 8-day Ukulele trip to the USA, a 3-day band trip to Vancouver, and an 8-day Scouting Adventure at Camp Barnard in Sooke. I am raising funds to help pay for these adventures by collecting refundable cans and bottles. If you would like to help, please bring your empty refundable cans and bottles to church on any Sunday or call us to arrange for us to pick them up. If you aren't sure what is refundable, you can check at https://bottledepot.ca/we-recycle/beverage-containers/ Thank you for your help, Genessa.

OEB Breakfast Company Certificates are available in the church. Bring the OEB Breakfast Company certificate to the OEB Victoria location, 856 Yates Street, and receive $10 off your meal. In addition, $5 will be donated to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen. The certificate is good for 8 weeks from their opening day of March 24th. OEB stands for: Outstanding People; Embracing Evolution, and Bold Food Integrity. See more information at the News page.
