St. Luke's purchased a used, well-cared for Baldwin Model R Artist Grand Piano in November 2025. This piano is a wonderful addition to St. Luke’s music program and will help make the space very suitable for concerts and recitals.
We are hoping to recover the cost of the piano through donations and fundraising concerts.
We would greatly appreciate donations towards the almost $9,000, which was spent for the piano, including its cost ($6,000) the moving costs to bring it to St. Luke's ($500), the tuning, cover, and spider dolly.
How to Make a Gift towards the Grand Piano Project:
- Cash or cheques can be added to the collection plate on Sunday, dropped off at St. Luke’s Church Office, or mailed to St. Luke's Office, 3821 Cedar Hill Cross Road, Victoria, BC V8P 2M6. Please make your cheque payable to St. Luke's Church, noting that it is for the Grand Piano Project, and include your contact information (if you wish a tax receipt).
- By an online donation via an e-transfer from your bank account. E-transfers should be sent to the Church office e-mail (admin@stlukecedarhill.ca). Please note in the message box of the e-transfer your e-mail, address (so that a tax receipt can be issued), or envelope number if you have one, and any special instructions such as a donation to the Grand Piano Project.
- By an online donation using your credit card (Canada Helps): Please click on the Donate Now button below, and use the pull down menu on the Canada Helps website to designate your donation to the Grand Piano Project.
If you make a donation this way, a small fee (4.5%) stays with Canada Helps as an administration fee. Tax receipts are issued directly by Canada Helps.
