Please remember to wear red for Pentecost Sunday, May 19th. The in-person Communion Services for Pentecost Sunday will be at 8 am and 10 am. The 10 am service will be livestreamed and recorded to watch later.

We welcome back trumpeter, Ben Parker, to the 10 am service on Pentecost Sunday. There will be special music with soloist Ben Parker for the prelude, before the first reading, and for the postlude. Dr. Mary Byrne will play a flute solo during Ablutions.

The picture included here is of the Pentecost frontal, created by Brenda Morgan.

Brenda comments: "When approaching the making of this altar frontal, I kept the Pentecost story forward in my thoughts. An image appeared in my mind, and though I tried to come up with other designs, I kept going back to my original idea. Flames are a traditional idea for Pentecost, but how was I to represent the effect of the inspiration? I settled on the ancient Christian symbol of the fish, the ichthus, to depict the courageous, dangerous and sometimes secret work of those early Apostles who travelled far and wide."
