Does it break your heart to see so many people in so many countries suffering from poverty and hungry? Thanks to St Philip’s connection with Mar Elias Maronite church in Rablah, Syria, we can make a difference in that community.
“After more than a decade of conflict, Syria remains one of the world’s largest displacement crises and continues to face immense humanitarian challenges including wildfires, drought, and the growing insecurity in the south. Over half of the population of Syria is food insecure, with approximately 3 million people projected to be severely food insecure.” (World Food Bank Aug 27, 2025).
Mar Elias parish uses the funds to support the entire community with food, housing and medical care. Seven members of the St Philip parish come from Rablah, so we have a direct connection.
