Senior Youth Group is for individuals from grades 9-12 and offers a place where we can have real conversations about spirituality and life! This group offers a safe place to discuss, wonder, and discover our faith. From conversations about our own beliefs, to talking about major issues that are prevalent in society, to just chatting about what’s going on at school, this group is a place to explore these topics together. Let’s make friends, ask those hard questions, and explore our relationship with God!
Each time we meet is a little bit different. We will pray, worship, discuss, make music, and maybe plan a few out trips so that we can engage with our community. The group is youth driven with a focus on discussing topics and planning activities that the group wants to engage in/learn about!
This coming Sunday, December 1st, we will be meeting from 6-9pm at St. George's in the lower hall. We will be making dinner together and then watching a movie. If there are any allergies we need to be aware of please let us know!
On Wednesday, December 4th, the Senior Youth Group has been invited to attend the Cinderella Pantomime taking place at St. George's. Tickets are complimentary for the youth. The pantomime is taking place from 7-9pm, but we ask that you arrive between 6:30 and 6:45. If you would like to attend, please let us know so that we can let the ticket sales people know how many tickets need to be set aside.
Finally, our last youth group gathering before the new year will take place on Saturday, December 14th. Similar to last year, we will be assisting with the St. John the Divine outdoor Christmas Pageant. The pageant generally takes place at sunset, and then once it is over the Senior Youth Group will head off to do a fun activity in the downtown area. Specific details for this event will be coming in the next little while, but timing will roughly be from 3-7pm. Come to youth group this Sunday to help decide what we will do after the pageant is over!

Also, our first fundraiser of the year has begun! We are doing a year long bottle drive to try and help with the program costs of our youth groups. You can drop your bottles off at any Victoria bottle depot (Quadra, Glanford or Queens) and ask that the funds go towards Anglican Youth Groups (an account has been set up.)
