This Open House/Cleanup Day will include a short tour starting at 10 am. Pam Gaudio will lead the tour and will provide information about the history of the cemetery and stories of some of the interesting people buried there. As well the church will be open and visitors are welcome to do a self-guided tour of the church. Tea, coffee, and light refreshments will be served in the church. See the stories of some of the people buried in St. Luke's Cemetery at this link.

As you know we held a Cemetery Open House, Cleanup Morning, and Tour on Saturday, May 25th. However, because of the predicted rain, many people didn’t come. Sure enough, the skies opened and we were drenched! Our thanks to those who did come out to help with the cleanup and go on the tour. While it was wet outside we enjoyed the time in the church after the tour to dry out, have tea and coffee, and visit.

Since so many people either were unable to attend or didn’t attend because of the weather, we decided to offer the combination of Cemetery Cleanup, Tour and Open House again. This time it will be on Saturday, June 22nd from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Everyone is welcome! If you came before and couldn’t stay for the tour at 10 am, please plan to come for the tour this time. Others commented that they would come again to help with the cleanup so this is your opportunity. Or if you weren’t able to come in May, this is your chance to attend this time on June 22nd.

Come and see what’s new in the cemetery, help with the cleanup, or go on a Cemetery Tour starting at 10 am. Come if you have family members buried at St. Luke's. Come if you don't have connections to this cemetery to see what a hidden gem it is.

We have a number of recent improvements in the cemetery. Please download the newsletter below for further information.

If you would like to make a donation towards the cost of these recent improvements or other planned improvements, St. Luke's would be most grateful. Please visit the Make a Donation to St. Luke's Cemetery link to find out how to make a tax receiptable donation by cash or cheque or using a credit card or debit card.

We hope to see you at the Open House, Cemetery Tour, and Cleanup on June 22nd when you can see all the “new and exciting things” happening in St. Luke’s Cemetery. Now, isn’t that a bit of an oxymoron for a cemetery!
