It's time to provide an update about upcoming events in the cemetery and at St. Luke's during the month of May. While I know that many of you on the e-mail list don't live in the Victoria area, please share this e-mail with family members who live in the area. |

You are Invited to an Old Cemeteries Society Tour of St. Luke's ChurchyardThis Sunday, May 4th at 2 pm The Old Cemeteries Society will hold a tour of St. Luke's Churchyard on May 4th starting at 2 pm. The tour will feature the stories of the farmers, florists, and gardeners who are resting in St. Luke's Cemetery. Thank you to the descendants and friends, who have offered to tell the stories of their family members. All of your stories will make for a very interesting tour! The fee for the tour is $5. |

Vintage Fashion Show and TeaSaturday, May 10th - 2 - 4 pm While this isn't a cemetery event, we know that many of you enjoy history and hearing about St. Luke's history, so you are invited to a Vintage Fashion Show and Tea. In honour of St. Luke’s 165th anniversary, Vintage Fashion Showcase will present Local History Through Fashion from 1860 to 1980. Afternoon Tea will be served, featuring a selection of delicious baked goodies. There will be door prizes. Tickets are $25 per person, and need to be purchased in advance by contacting events@stlukecedarhill.ca. |

May Cemetery Cleanup MorningSaturday, May 17th from 9 - 11:30 am We have picked dates in the spring and early summer for some cemetery cleanup mornings. We will be holding our cemetery cleanups on the second Saturday of the month this year in May, June, and July. Our first cleanup date will be Saturday, May 17th from 9 - 11:30 am. Other dates will be June 14th and July 19th. Please mark these dates on your calendars. Many hands make light work. If you are able to come, even to help for a short time, your help will be greatly appreciated. Hope to see you on May 17th. |
