THIS WEEK’S PARISH NEWS – September 19 – September 26 (**New Items, *Revised Items)

A Letter from Bishop Anna to all parishioners is available at the back of the church and is posted at the News page. In her letter, Bishop Anna notes that at this time unvaccinated individuals over the age of 12 are asked to participate virtually over the next few months as vaccination rates continue to improve. The action to implement this change is based on our collective responsibility to care and protect the most vulnerable, particularly at this time, our unvaccinated children.

In-person Eucharist services starting at 10 am are being offered through the fall.  Anyone wishing to attend will need to register by phoning (250-477-6741) or e-mailing the office ( before noon on the Friday, prior to the Sunday service you wish to attend. (This will help us manage our capacity limits at this time.) You will need to wear a mask, be distanced in the church except within family groups or established bubbles, and use hand sanitizer when entering the church.

*Coffee Time via Zoom will start at 11:45 am after the in-person and livestreamed service. Note this slightly later start to allow those attending church in-person time to get home and join in on Zoom.Watch for the link, which will be sent out by e-mail and join us in your home via Zoom. Hope to see you there.

**Thursday morning services are now being held at 10:30 am. Everyone is welcome at this mid-week Eucharist service.

*Thanks to all who helped with St. Luke’s Yard Sale in the Parking Lot on Saturday, September 11th. While the weather didn't cooperate the way we hoped, we had a great turnout and we were very pleased with the final results. $1902.60 was raised! We sold a lot of the items that had been stored in the basement for some time. It was good to find new homes for them. Well done, everyone!

Thank You for Your Support for the Ongoing Ministry of St. Luke’s Church through your offerings by writing a cheque, making a donation online through Canada Helps, and by signing up for ECP. We greatly appreciate your offerings each week, whether by putting an offering into the plate in the church, dropping off or mailing your donation, making a donation online through Canada Helps, or by signing up for ECP. Note that the offerings will now be taken forward to the altar each Sunday during the service, but we can’t pass around the collection plate at this time. If you miss putting in your donation as you enter the church, donations left in the collection plates after the service will also be collected.

Copies are also available from the office.  Thank you for all your questions at the meeting and those sent in afterwards. They are presently being reviewed and the responses will be circulated soon.

Livestreaming Help Needed A big thank you to Sharon McMillan who has been the main person organizing the livestreaming since we started livestreaming in March. Thank you to Ray Lett as well who is learning the ropes in this area. We are hoping to create a roster of people who can help with the livestreaming each Sunday. We would like to find enough people to help so that two people could work as a team one Sunday per month. If we aren’t able to find enough volunteers, we’ll need to hire someone to cover off on some Sundays. If you are interested in learning new skills in this area, please talk to Sharon or Ray after the service, or to Daniel, or leave your name with Bonnie in the office. An orientation session and training will be provided.

The September issue of the Diocesan Post is now available online at the News page. Print copies are available in the church or from the parish office. Or please call the office (250-477-6741) to ask to have a copy delivered.
