 . Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impac
 ts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation proce
 ss.\nWe hope you can participate in the events that are happening locally 
 in your community\, and join the local First Nations in remembering and ce
 lebrating the resistance and revitalization that is taking place.
