Lutheran Church of the Cross and St. Luke Cedar Hill Anglican Church invited the community to take part in a Palm Procession and Palm/ Passion Sunday Service on Sunday, March 25. This marked the fourth year that the two churches have invited the community to take part in this procession between the churches crossing at the corner of Cedar Hill Road and Cedar Hill Cross Road.
The service began at 10 am at Church of the Cross (3787 Cedar Hill Rd.) with the blessing of palms, coats and blankets. The blankets and coats will be donated to Our Place Society.
Following the blessing of the palms, coats and blankets, the Palm Procession crossed Cedar Hill Cross Road and Cedar Hill Road to St. Luke’s where the service continued.
Open offerings from the service were donated to the Shelbourne Community Kitchen.
It was a beautiful, sunny morning and a joyful palm procession! Hosanna in the highest!
