Special Music at St. Luke's

Special Music at St. Luke's

Choral highlights include our combined Services with Lutheran Church of the Cross (www.lutheranvictoria.ca) on Palm Sunday and the first Sunday in Advent. Lutheran Church of the Cross hosted the combined service on the First Sunday in Advent, December 3, 2017 featuring readings and music appropriate to start the Advent season.

We also have special music at the Christmas Pageant, Christmas Eve services, Feast of the Epiphany Carol service and during Holy Week (Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday Services, and the Easter Children's Service).

Our Music Ministry Concerts raise funds for the Choral Scholar program and other programs as needed and showcases St. Luke’s Choral Scholars and friends.  Click here to read the Saanich News announcement of the October 2016 Anything Goes too! fundraising concert.

Our Soloists' Program often features our choral scholars and other volunteer musicians from the congregation and/or local guest musicians. Musical selections from many centuries, genres and types (classical, baroque, contemporary, folk, etc.) are presented.

A Harp Choir with harpers Dorothy Cook, Lyn Oldale and Joan Scandrett plays at various morning and evening services, as well as on some high feast days and on other special occasions.
