Featuring Messy Church.

The January Fantastic Friday is our annual New Year's event celebrating the visit of the Magi.

Enjoy a delicious meal, festive music, fun crafts and traditional activities for all ages!

Activities will include the Epiphany tradition of Chalking the Door. This is a way of marking our homes and churches with sacred signs and symbols as we ask God’s blessing upon those who live, work, or visit throughout the coming year. The inscription written above the door is as follows: 20 + C + M + B + 24. The last number changes each year.

What do the numbers and letters mean? The numbers at the beginning and end of the inscription simply refer to the current year. The letters C M B come from the traditional names for the three kings: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar. Some also suggest “Christus Mansionem Benedicat” which means, “May Christ bless this dwelling!”

Here are some reminders of our expectations for Fantastic Friday:

 • Everyone participates in the activities and worship.
  • Listen to leaders, adults, and each other.
  • Keep our bodies to ourselves.
  • Walking only.
  • Ask before going outside.
  • Wait for an invitation before lining up for food.
  • Explore, create, and have fun!

Come when you can and come as you are.

Hope to see you on Friday!

Feel free to pass along this e-mail to anyone you would like to invite.
